Kerrier District
[11.27.03]

The release date for the Kerrier District LP on Rephlex has been set: Jan. 26, 2004. Right now, there is only info about the 3LP vinyl release, so I'm not sure if this album will see a CD release, but I'll keep you informed. Check out the Rephlex Site to hear some sound samples and read the press release. The Discography has also been updated.

Comp Track
[11.21.03]

I know, I know, I've been lazy, but I finally got around to putting the new Vibert [Amen Andrews] track "Remember This" up in the compilations section. It's in the Vibert Comp section because I don't feel like creating a whole Amen Andrews Section just for this one track. I apologize for being so slow.

Guest Editor
[11.02.03]

This months "guest editor" at amazon.com is none other than Luke Vibert himself. You can check here to see his list of recommended releases.

And, thanks to some suggestions from you lot, I'll be adding a 'Tour' section to the site so you can have a listing of all the upcoming shows in one place...much easier to keep track of. As there are many more tour dates set that I have been too lazy to post up until now, you'll have to check out the page for sure to see when Luke will be in your neck of the woods. Cheers!
Thanks Rachael

More with 'Pusher

Well, I'm not 100% confirmed on this yet, but some folks have seen posters around with Vibert added to the list of performers at the the Fringe Festival at Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh along with Squarepusher. The date of this gig is August 11th.
It's still unclear if Luke will be supporting Squarepusher on his UK mini-tour, but it's a possibility. So stay tuned kiddies.

Amen Andrews Vol. 1 was released this week on Rephlex. Vol. 2 will be out on July 28th, 2003.
You can find a review of the upcoming Amen Andrews Vol. 2 HERE.
I've also updated the Discography with pages and info on Volumes 2-4.

Mini Site
[07.07.03]

There is a link to a Luke Vibert mini site on the main page of the Warp Site, but it appears not to be working at the moment. Keep your eyes peeled for more info about the mini site as well as the new album on Warp out this October.

I've added some pics from last years Magic Bus Tour to the Photo/Press section of the site. Check them out.

AND the Discography is now completed. Totally redone, hopefully improved and easy on the eyes.
Enjoy.

[07.02.03]

The Amen Andrews Volume One is availible now to order from WARPmart.
Also on the Warp site is news of a Squarepusher UK mini tour that Luke is RUMORED to be playing, including some shows aboard the HMS President.

Also, I forgot to mention...The Luke Vibert track "Homewerk" will be included on the upcoming Planet-Mu compilation "Children of Mu" [ZIQ060].

As well, unconfirmed, the title of the Luke Vibert LP on Warp will be "Yoseph" and it will be out on October 13th. Again, this is unconfirmed.
Enjoy.

Forum Added
[06.16.03]

I've added a new forum to the site. Hopefully it will be more successful than the last one. You can check it out by clicking here or on the "forum" link at the top and/or bottom of each page. Please go, have fun, post anything of interest. It will hopefully be a great place to learn about stuff that I might miss. Enjoy.

Updates
[06.12.03]

The rumored San Diego show turned out to be a mix up. Luke will not be opening for U-Ziq on July 28th!

The official release date for Amen Andrews Vol. 1 is July 7th, 2003 as verified by the Rephlex website!

Also, you'll find that the Discography is almost done. Still missing the Plug releases, but those will be up soon. Enjoy.

More Live Dates
[06.09.03]

As the summer swings into full effect, so does festival season. Luke will be appearing along with U-Ziq and others at the first Electric Science Festival in Belgium. The Festival is June 20-21st 2003 and will be held in Liege, Belgium. Looks pretty cheap to me (but then again, i don't understand Euro's), so get your tickets soon. Check their official website for more details.

There is also info that Luke will be opening for U-Ziq in San Diego, CA on July 28th at the Casbah, but I'm still waiting for conformation on that.

Also, regarding the Kerrier District release, it is indeed an LP of recent disco as well as some more electro sounding tracks. This release will also be on Rephlex Records later this year. Not sure if it will see a cd release, but it is supposedly a 3LP on vinyl. Yay for us!

And if that wasn't enough for you, you can check out a small review of Amen Andrews Vol. 1 over at Absorb.org

Release Info:
Here is some news as to when some of Luke's new stuff will be arriving this year:
--The Luke Vibert LP on Warp Records is slated for release in October, with a 12" preceeding it in July or August.
--Amen Andrews Vol 1 on Rephlex will be out "very soon" with the other 4 volumes out every 3 weeks after.
--Kerrier District will be out in August (No, I don't know what this is yet, but I'm working on it, maybe the disco album?).
--The bad news is, we wont be seeing the new Wagon Christ LP on Ninja Tune until Feburary 2004.

Chicago & New York Shows
[06.05.03]

Luke is listed as opening for Squarepusher at the Empty Bottle in Chicago, IL on the 18th of July. Check the Empty Bottle website for more info.
No info yet on whether or not he will be supporting Squarepusher for all his US appearences, but I'll keep you informed.
EDIT: Looks like he's also on board for the NYC show at the Bowery Ballroom on July 19th.

Also, check the Press section for some new photos of Luke at the Nesh party in NYC.

Luke and Citibank
[05.20.03]

The Vibert track "I Hear The Drummer" is being used in commercials for Citibank in the US.
Also, I'm still working on the new discography, but most of the sections are back up and the links are working, I hope.

New Site Design & Rephresh News
[05.09.03]

So, alot of people were complaining about not being able to read the text in the previous color scheme, so I just wen't ahead and made a slight variation on it so it's easier to read.
The move over to brainwashed is being put on hold for awhile because it's too damn complicated for me to do right now, so I just made it so that the index page of the brainwashed site takes you here. I'll also be helping out Joyrex with a new Vibert section of WATMM, so look forward to that if you are a frequent visitor of that site. But, for now, the site is still here. Most of the links are still dead because I have to apply the new layout to all the pages still. They'll be working soon, so hang in there.
Luke will be playing along with Aphex Twin (DJ Smojphace) at the next Rephresh party on Wed. May 21st. Here's the info:

THE BUG MC RAS BOGLE
DJ LUKE VIBERT
DJ SMOJPHACE

9.30pm-1:00am
Plastic People
147 - 149 Curtain Road
London
EC2A 3QE

Tickets at the door.
Only £6 (£5 concessions)
200 tickets availible.

...And if you're new to this site (ie, got here through brainwashed.com/vibert), Hi, my name is Chris and this is the Wagon Christ Source. Enjoy.

Site Move
[04.24.03]

As if you haven't already noticed, the site has a new design, which is hopefully appealing to the eye. Most of the site is still being redesigned, so the links in the menu are dead for awhile.
But more importantly, this site will be moving in the next few days over to www.brainwashed.com/vibert, which is the old "Wagon Christ Assembly". Don't you worry though, it'll still be regularly updated, and I will still be running it. Same site, different URL. Hopefully everyone will follow me over there.
Just in case you were wondering, the mailing list sign-up is at the bottom of the page.
Enjoy.

Interview and MP3s
[03.28.02]

Wonder what Luke has been up to lately? Want to know what he's planning on releasing soon? Well, you're in luck. You can read my recent interview with Luke Vibert, with questions submitted by members of the mailing list, and find out all this and more. And, being the nice guy that he is Luke also included 10 exclusive mp3s for your listening pleasure.
The interview and mp3s can be found HERE.
Thanks to everyone that submitted questions and enjoy the words and music!

Warp Rave
[03.26.03]

Luke will be headlining Warp Record's:
ARCOLA BASS RAVE
May 3rd 2003
10-4am
North London
More info at Warp Records.
Enjoy.

Updates
[03.23.03]

A few updates here and there. Mainly to the Remixography regarding a few missing Plug remixes.
Boomish and On remixes as well as the title of the Merzbow track have all been added. It's called "Luxurious Automobile" and it's "definatly Plug!"
I've also updated the FAQ regarding the Peel Sessions (yes, sessions, plural).
Also a few little notes around the Discography area that I'm sure you'll stumble over someday. ;)
I've also been informed that Luke has done remixes for
Super_Collider - Radianations On The Rise [Wagon Christ Mix]
and
Francois de Roubaix - Piti Piti Pas [Luke Vibert mix]
in the last year that have yet to be released. So, be on the lookout for those!
Enjoy and watch the site for the Luke Vibert interview, soon!

More Shows [03.08.03]
Luke Vibert, Tipsy, and Boom Bip at the Queen Elizibeth Hall on March 14, 2003 at 8:00pm.
More info here.

Thanks Rachael

Brings The Noise [03.07.03]
It has been called to my attention that Luke will contribute to the latest Merzbow offering, the double remix cd "Ikebana". It is a collection of tracks by a wide range of artists that utilize Merzbow's album "Amlux" as an instrument. Release date is May 6, 2003.
On the Important Records site, it is listed as being a Plug track, but as I don't have a track listing as of yet, we'll have to wait and see. Until then I've listed it in the Luke Vibert section of the Remixography.

Thanks Edward/Johannes

--The discography has been updated to include the Ace of Clubs release, the Tipper remix, as well as the Warp Magic Bus and Pool Party Compilations.

More Appearences [06.20.02]
Luke continues his string of live appearences at 2 festivals this summer:
The Essential Festival
Along with the rest of the Braindance crew including:
APHEX TWIN • MIKE PARADINAS (U-ZIQ) • BOGDAN RACZYNSKI • K-ROCK • DMX CREW • OVUCA • MADDOG WALLACE • GLOBAL GOON
Pukkel Pop 2002
Among a HUGE list of artists appearing will be Aphex Twin v. Luke Vibert, which sounds pretty damn interesting if you ask me.

New Remix [06.18.02]
There is a brand new Wagon Christ remix of the Capitol K track "Pillow" on the single of the same name. Go to the Discography for more info.

Out Of Nowhere [05.22.02]
It seems that with little or no promotion or even a heads up, Lo Recordings has apparently released the sequel to "Nuggets" entitled "Further Nuggets" [LCD28]. It is availible now (supposedly) and looks to be pretty damn good as well. And in more great and quite unexpected news from Lo Recordings:
Set for release in June 2002 is
Luke Vibert & Jean Jacques Perrey album [LCD31]
The Discography will be updated to show these 2 new releases.
Unfortunatly, that's is all the info I have on this release as of now, but I'll keep you all updated. I'm excited...Wow, Jean Jacques Perrey is a legend. This is going to be good. Very good.
There is also some news on the live front as well. Luke will be appearing (as will Aphex Twin) at this summers Reading Festival on the "Dance Stage". For more info, visit the Festival site where apparently they believe that Jake Slezinger is one of Luke Vibert's alias'...oh well.

The Messageboard Cometh [04.30.02]
The Wagon Christ Source Messageboard is up and running! It can be found by clicking on this little link here:
The Wagon Christ Source Messageboard
All you have to do is regester and you'll be all set. I'm gonna head over there now and get working on a few things, so hopefully I'll see you all there. Enjoy!

Homewerk and More Warped News [04.29.02]
Yes, I know, it's been a long while since there has been any new info on this site, but that is all changing soon. There are a few new additions to the site that will be showing up in the next few days. I'll get to those in a second, first we should deal with this.
--Luke Vibert's newest release "Homewerk" has just been released on Planet-µ Records. It's a 4 track 12" ep of brilliant, twisted acid-y goodness. If you are having problems finding it in your local record shop, you can order it online from the wonderful folks at WarpMart
--As well as a new release, Luke can be seen this Spring on Warp's Magic Bus Tour through Europe. Luke will be appearing as a DJ on the tour. There will also be a Magic Bus compilation CD availible at the shows containing a brand new, unreleased Vibert track entitled "Countdown". For more info on the tour and show dates/locations, visit the Magic Bus Tour Site.
Ok, now for the site updates.
Coming to the Wagon Christ Source in the next few days will be a brand new totally exclusive Photo page where you will have access to plenty of published photos and lots of cool exclusive shots taken by various fans around the world. So, if you've got some Vibert snapshots that you think people would like to see, please email me and I will make it happen.
Also coming soon is the long awaited Wagon Christ Messageboard! Tired of visiting the lame yahoo club that only gets hits once every two months? Want something that will be a lot more interactive and user friendly? Well, that's what I am hoping to achieve with the Wagon Christ Source messageboard. A place where Vibert fans can come together, hang out, discuss their favourite Luke tracks, or just shoot the shit with other humans that have the same great taste in music. The board will be powered by EZboard because it's free and it seems like an OK site. You will be able to sign up and post to your hearts content. I am hoping to make it a sort of booming place that is active more often then not. Hopefully it will not suffer the same fate as the old yahoo club. So, in conclusion, let's make this as awesome board, guys!
Last but certainly not least, the Discography will be getting a much needed reworking in the next few weeks to make it easier to use and more unique. I'll definatly be adding those Big Dada productions in there...I promise this time! and I'll try to include more album artwork for the Remixes and Compilations.

OK, that's all for now. Enjoy the news and you'll be hearing more from me in the next few days.
